Nails Of The Week: L'Oreal, Essie & Orly

"Sweet Nothings 260" by L'Oreal, "Play Date" by Essie, "Gumdrop" by Orly

Okay so I changed my nail color again because I got so excited to try something new.. I wanted to do some polka dot designs plus try for the first time this L'Oreal nail polish.

L'Oreal "Sweet Nothings 260"

I decided to pick up this nude peachy pink color by L'Orealin target because I do not own a color like this, plus I like the packaging and it was only about $4-5.00 at Target :) I just applied 2 coats of this all over my nails.

Larger & smaller dotting tool

I used 2 different sized dotting toolsto make the dots, one bigger one and one smaller one. I got these at Amazon, which I think you can also find on Ebay and it was only about $2.00 with 5 2-sided dotting tools, making it 10 different sizes.

This was free shipping too which was a very good deal! But it took like almost 3 weeks to arrive, but still very worth it!

Orly "Gumdrop"

With the larger dotting tool, I evenly placed dots all over my nails with Orly's "Gumdrop"making sure I still have space for the small dots.

Essie "Play Date"

Then using the smaller dotting tool I just inserted some small dots using Essie's "Play Date"and placed them between the spaces still making sure they are more or less evenly placed. And then just applied my top coat! :)

What do you think? :) I will doing more nail designs in my future blogs! :)

Nails Of The Week: Mod Square & Stroke Of Brilliance by Essie

Hi everyone! Today I have on my nails two Essie nail polishes in "Mod Square" and "Stroke Of Brilliance".

"Mod Square" & "Stroke Of Brilliance"

"Mod Square"

This weekend I went to Target to do a little bit of nail polish shopping and got this lovely pink shade called "Mod Square" which I have been searching for a long time!

"Stroke Of Brilliance"

Has different sizes of circular & hexagonal shapes

Then on top of it I applied this gorgeous blue glitter that has different circular and hexagonal shapes of different sizes.

I like how the glitters give it a sparkly barbie look! :)

What do you have on your nails today?? :)

A Quick Review On My MAC Lipsticks (Neutral Colors)

Hello everyone! Just wanted to make a quick post on a few Mac Lipsticks that I own.

Creme Cup (Cremesheen), Please Me (Matte),
Viva Glam Gaga 2 (Amplified), Viva Glam V (Lustre)

I am not the type to wear very dark reds and bright colors. So if you love wearing neutrals, nudes and light shades then you might like this this one :)

Viva Glam V

Left: 1 swipe, Right: 3 swipes

This color is a very sheer light pinkish brown shade with gold shimmer. I love this color especially for just going out where you don't want anything too dramatic or obvious but just gives the lips that subtle sheer elegant hint of color!

Viva Glam Gaga 2

Left: 1 swipe, Right 3 swipes

This color basically washes off my face because of its light brown peachy nude shade. I'd say this would look better with a dramatic dark smokey eye. What I usually do with this is wear a touch red or pink lipstick on top of it or just on the middle of my lips and blend it out. It does last long and is also very pigmented with just one swipe.

Please Me

Left: 1 swipe, Right: 3 swipes

This is a neutral matte pink shade that is also very pigmented but is a bit drying on the lips. I love that the color is not bright but still gives you that pink tone without being too dramatic.

Creme Cup

Left: 1 swipe, Right: 3 swipes

This lipstick is just a creamy and soft nude pink shade with light hints of silver glitter! It is buildable and again, nothing dramatic. This is perfect for when you want to have that nude pink lip but not look washed out.

With 1 swipe: Viva Glam V, Viva Glam Gaga 2, Please Me, Creme Cup

My favorite out of the 4 I have to say is the Viva Glam V which to me is just perfect for everyday wear :)

Do you own any of these shades? What is your favorite Mac Lipstick? :)

Nails Of The Week: Chancer by Butter London

Hello there nail polish lovers!

Sooo, I decided to do a "Nails Of The Week" here on my blog as I really love nail polishes and I just wanted to share with you what I have on my nails right now! <3

Today I'm wearing Butter London's "Chancer"and it is this very beautiful cherry red with lots of red glitter in it!

I so love this color! It reminds a lot of the holiday season, Christmas season to be exact! Because of it's sparkly red glitters on this cherry red color, it just looks so festive! ;)

I know that fall season has already started up in most states, but here in Florida it pretty much looks like summer but cooler ;)

What do you have right now on your nails? :)

Real Techniques Starter Kit Brush Set by Samantha Chapman

I am so happy with my new Real Techniques Starter Setby Samantha Chapman! For a long time I have been accustomed to using my pink Sigma brushes, some Tokidoki limited edition brushes and this cheap whole face brush set that I got from Coastal Scents that's not even that great.

Portable brush set with handle

After watching Tanya Burr (Pixi2woo) & the Pixiwoo sisters (Sam & Nick) using these brushes many many times in their tutorials, it made me want to try them because they seem to do a good job in applying makeup, and they surely did!

Velcro lock

The thought of investing on MAC brushes was a bit too much for me at the moment and I wanted to buy brushes that would do a great job but are still affordable.

Travel sized eye and brow brush set

So I got the Real Techniques Starter Setwhich consist of brushes mainly for the eyes and brows. It has 5 travel sized brushes that have purple handles and also a 2 in 1 brush case that can be transformed into a brush stand, which also has more space to put in 3-5 more brushes for travel. And it was only $18.00! How good is that!

More space for extra brushes

2 in 1 brush kit with adjustable stand

Considering that an individual brush would cost about $6-$10 for this line, and having a kit that comes with it is a really good deal! Plus I was able to use a $5.00 off any $10 purchase or more coupon from my Ulta magazine subscription!

So how good are these brushes?

Deluxe Crease Brush

Round dome shape

I've only had these brushes for like 3 weeks now and so far I am really really loving them! Especially the Deluxe Crease Brush which I mainly use for applying concealer underneath my eyes and around any blemishes on the face, and also use it to apply a cream shadow base to my lids. It is pretty dense but not too much, it has a dome shape which is somewhat like a very small kabuki brush except with a long handle. I love how it just applies and blends in any cream concealer or shadow so well! I'd say this is my most favorite brush in the set!

Base Shadow Brush

Tapered tip

Flatter than the typical blending brush

Next is the Base Shadow Brush which looks similar to a blending brush except for its flat shape. It is well put together, sturdy and soft at the same time, just like the rest. I actually like this better when applying my eyeshadows because it doesn't give a very harsh application and it picks up the shadows just fine. I think it's because of how it is shaped like.

Brow Brush

Thicker, angled brush

Third brush is the Brow Brush which is quite interesting because it is exactly an angled brow/liner brush, except it is 2x thicker than the usual. At first I was quite intimidated by how thick it is but I actually liked it after trying it. Depending on how thick you brows are, this might not be the one for you if you have super thin eyebrows. It makes me fill up my eyebrows much quicker and because it has these very sturdy but soft bristles, it has a very good and precise application.

Pixel-Point Eyeliner Brush

It doesn't give a super fine line but applies quite well

The fourth brush on this set is the Pixel-Point Eyeliner Brush. Again, great for lining your eyes with an eyeshadow. I still haven't tried using a gel eyeliner with this one but it is surprisingly great when applying. It is also stiff and sturdy to give that good pointed tip but also soft enough to blend your line.

Accent Brush

Last brush, which is kind of my least favorite is the Accent Brush. Its not that i don't like it, but maybe it's just because all I use it for is to highlight the inner corners of the upper and lower lid and that's it! Nothing too spectacular about it and I think it's little bit stiff for me for highlighting.

Logo easily faded away

Overall, I highly recommend getting this set especially if you have just started getting into makeup because the brushes are great and you can't beat the price! I know Ulta always has this $3.50 off your $10.00 purchase or more, which makes it only about $14.50! The only problem i have with these brushes is that the logo/name on the handle kind of fades away. So far no shedding for me and they don't feel like they're gonna shed either.

I'm even planning to purchase more of the brushes in the future because that's how much I love them!

Have you tried the Real Techniques brushes? What do your think about them?
